ICSE Board Exam 2021 has been withdrawn and ISC exams delayed.
The CISCE board had previously announced that the ICSE exam would be canceled and that ISC 2021 would be postponed. The decision on ISC exams 2021 revised dates will be made in June 2021, due to the rapid increase in COVID 19 cases across the world. After a student urged the board to rethink the CISCE Board Exam 2021, this had an effect.
Exams for Class 10 were scheduled from May 4 to June 7.
The decision would have an effect on over 35 lakh students who are taking board exams. Following PM Modi's meeting with the Education Minister and other top officials last week, the CBSE Class 12 exams were postponed. The CISCE followed suit two days later.
Coronavirus cases have been on the rise in the country, prompting many states to impose weekend or night curfews. To combat the raging pandemic, Delhi has declared a six-day lockdown that will last until 5 a.m. Monday.
The Delhi government has also announced that the upcoming school year will be completely conducted online. Students and teachers are demanding vaccine doses prior to the tests. According to the state, students in Classes 1 to 8 will be promoted automatically.
