Complete Process to update your photo in Voter ID


Step 1. You will need to visit your state's official voter service website.

Step 2. Select " Correction of entries in electoral roll ".

Step 3. Select “Form 8” and the form will open automatically.

Step 4. You will be asked to select the assembly, state, and constituency name you are from.

Step 5. Fill in all the other information on the form such as your full name, Part Number, Photo Identity Card Number, and Serial Number.

Step 6. You can now click on the “Photograph” option.

Step 7. You will be asked to fill in your name, address, and voting ID card number.

Step 8. Enter your date of birth, gender, mother's name, and husband's name.

Step 9. Now you will be asked to upload the supporting documents from your computer. Upload your recent passport-size photograph.

Step 10. Once you have uploaded a photo, you will be asked to enter your email ID, phone number, and place name.

Step 11. Enter the date you submit this application.

Step 12. View all information and click the "Submit" button.

Step 13. You will receive a confirmation message on your registered mobile number and email ID.

Step 14. You will see corrections made to the next voters' roll or look back at 30 days.

Before the next election, keep checking all the details on your Voter ID Card and making changes if necessary.

Now, you can apply for a duplicate card from your home and complete all the official ones without having to visit the election office each time.

The Election Commission of India/Indian Electoral Commission has now introduced the online application process for voter ID cards in all states and union territories.
