Delhi Scholarship 2021 - The Delhi government offers various scholarships to Delhi students who are pursuing courses at various levels of education. Through Delhi scholarship, good and needy students in Delhi receive financial assistance to further continue their education. Delhi is known for its tertiary institutions such as Delhi University, Delhi Technical University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Ambedkar University Delhi, and many more, and these scholarships help students to pursue education at these institutions without any financial constraints.

Delhi Scholarship – Eligibility:

In order to qualify for the benefits of a scholarship, the candidate must first meet all the eligibility criteria set by the financial aid programs and each Delhi scholarship holds a variety of eligibility criteria. See the table provided below to find out the eligibility criteria.

·        The family’s annual income of applicants should not be more than INR 2 Lakh.

·        Applicants must be in the SC, ST, OBC, or Minority categories.

·        Applicants must be residents of Delhi.

·        If the applicant belongs to the minority category, they must be Delhi residents for the past 3 years.

·        Applicants must attend classes 1 to 12 of a recognized school or affiliated school with the Department of Education, Govt. NCT of Delhi Local / Delhi Municipal bodies.

2.

Financial Assistance to SC/ST/OBC/Minority, Delhi

·        Applicants must be Delhi residents.

·        If applicants belong to minorities, they must be Delhi residents for the past three years.

·        Applicants must be of the SC, ST, OBC, or Minority categories.

·        Applicants should study from grades 1 to 12 at a recognized school.

·        Applicant’s attendance should not be less than 70% in the previous class.

·        Family’s annual income of applicants should not exceed INR 2 Lakh.

·        Applicants must be of the SC, ST, OBC, or sub-categories.

·        Must be studying in classes 1 to 12 at a public school / a well-known Delhi school.

·        The family income of applicants should not exceed INR 2 Lakh.

·        Applicants must have Delhi residence proof to qualify.

·        If there are applicants who belong to a minority, they must be Delhi residents for the past 3 years.

Merit Scholarship to SC/ST/OBC/Minority, Delhi

·        Candidates must have residential proof of Delhi.

·        Candidates should be of SC, ST, OBC, or minority categories.

·        Applicants must study at colleges / technical/technical institutions.

·        Applicants must not receive less than 60% marks in the previous academic year.

·        The family income requirement does not apply to SC / ST students, however, OBC students and sub-categories must have an annual INR 2 Lakh family income.

·        If the applicants belong to the minority category, they must be Delhi residents for the past 3 years.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students, Delhi

·        Applicants must be of the OBC category to qualify for a scholarship.

·        Must be studying in classes 1 to 10.

·        Applicants must have residential proof of Delhi.

·        The family income of the registrant must not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh per year.

Post Matric Scholarship for OBC Students

Applicants must be of the OBC category to qualify for a scholarship.

You should be studying in 11th grade to educate for a degree within India.

Applicants must have residence proof of Delhi.

The family income of the registrant must not be more than INR 1 Lakh per annum.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC Students, Delhi

·        The candidate must be of the SC category.

·        Family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh per year.

·        Applicants must attend classes of 9 to 10 in a public school or at a school designated by the Central / State Government Board of Higher Education.

·        The nominee must have a residence in Delhi.

·        The applicant must be of the Scheduled Caste category.

·        Family income should not be more than INR 2.5 Lakh per year.

·        The applicant must pursue a matriculation level education in India.

·        The applicant must have the residential proof of Delhi.

·        Applicants who, after graduating from one level of education, study various subjects at the same level are not eligible to apply.

9.

Financial Assistance to Educationally Backward Minority Students, Delhi

·        The candidate should belong to a minority category (Muslim and Neo-Buddhist).

·        Family income should be less than INR 1 lakh per annum.

·        Elected candidates should be studying in classes 1 to 12.

10.

Delhi Ladli Scheme

·        Under this program, only girls are allowed to apply.

·        The girl must be born in Delhi and her birth certificate must be issued by the Registrar (Birth and Death), MCD, or NDMC.

·        The parents/guardians of the child must be permanent residents of the National Capital Territory of Delhi at least 3 years prior to their birth.

·        Family income should not be more than INR 1 Lakh per year.

·        If a female child goes to school, her school education must be recognized by the Delhi Government / MCD / NDMC.

·        The scheme is limited to 2 surviving girls per family.

c) Also, students with an annual INR 60,000 as an annual family income receive a 100% refund, and those students with an INR 2 Lakh annual family income receive a 75% refund.

a) Students in grades 1 to 8 receive an INR 100 per month for a period of 10 months to purchase stationery.

b) Students in grades 9 to 12 receive INR 200 per month for a period of 10 months to purchase stationery.

Scholarship/Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC/Minority (Class 1 to 12), Delhi

a) SC / ST / Junior students in grades 1 to 8 receive an INR 1000 per year.

b) OBC students in grades 6 to 8 with a score of 55% to 60% marks in the previous class receive INR 600 per year and those with more than 60% marks receive INR 720 per year.

c) SC / ST / OBC / Minority students who study in grades 9 to 10 with a score of 55% to 60% marks in the previous class get an annual INR 1620 score while those students who get more than 60% marks get an INR 2040 per year.

d) SC / ST / OBC / Minority students studying in grades 11 to 12 with a score of 55% to 70% marks in the previous class received an annual INR 3,000 while those students who obtained more than 70% marks obtained an INR 4,500 per year.

a) Selected students receive up to INR 1,860 per month for a period of 12 months.

5.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for OBC Students, Delhi

a) Selected students in classes 3 to 10 who have opted for hostels receive an INR 500 scholarship per month for 10 months.

b) Selected students in grades 1 to 10 who are day specialists receive a monthly INR 100 scholarship for a period of 10 months.

c) Also, each student receives an INR 500 ad-hoc grant per year.

Post Matric Scholarship for OBC Students

Selected students receive up to INR 10,000 annually as a maintenance allowance and up to INR 20,000 per annum as a course fee.

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC Students, Delhi

Selected SC students in grades 9 to 10 receive a monthly scholarship of up to INR 750 and a book and ad-hoc grant of up to INR 1,000 per year.

Post Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Delhi

Under this scholarship scheme, the selected students get a maintenance allowance of up to INR 1,200 per month along with tuition fees, study tour charges, book allowance, and other benefits.

If you want to apply for a Delhi Scholarship you will have to apply before the application deadline. Follow the steps indicated to apply.

·        In the first step, you need to visit the official Delhi Scholarship website.

·        Then click on ‘Student’s option’.

·        Read all the instructions before applying.

·        Fill in the required information such as full name, mobile number, valid email (for future response) and password, etc. Also, fill in the details for your center.

·        After the complete registration process, you will receive a link to open an account in your email account specified during registration.

·        After complete registration, you can check the status of your application.

·        The requester does not receive any further study.
