The Indian government has introduced the RERA Act of 2016. Portions of the Act were enforced with effect from 1 May 2017. The Government notified the Chattisgarh Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act 2017 (Including the Sale of Agreement Agreement) of Chattisgarh on 1st. 28th April 2017. The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA Chattisgarh) will provide the RERA registration platform for the Real Estate Project and details of the Promoter and Real Estate Agent. Apart from this, it may receive complaints relating to various stakeholders as provided under the above-mentioned Act and rules.

Components of RERA Chattisgarh

Real Estate Regulatory Authority and Appellate Tribunal

The Chattisgarh government has the appropriate government under the Chattisgarh State Act in section 2 subsection (g) of the Act. Exercising the powers conferred on the third provision in subsection (1) of section 20 and the first provision of subsection (4) of section 43 of the Act [1], the Chattisgarh Government has appointed a Permanent Secretary, Urban and Housing Development Department, .

The Appellate Tribunal will hear appeals from decisions, directions, and instructions of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority. If any person is aggrieved by a directive or order or decision made by the Authority or a judicial officer, he or she may apply for an appeal to the Appeal Tribunal.

Complaints made at RERA Chattisgarh

  • Any aggrieved person can lodge a RERA complaint with Chattisgarh RERA or a judicial officer regarding a registered housing registration project. Complaints may be lodged for any violation or breach of the provisions of the Act or the laws and regulations made under it.

  • Any person who is aggrieved by a decision or direction or order made by Chattisgarh RERA or by a judicial officer may apply to the Appellate Tribunal.

  • Any person who is aggrieved by a decision or order of the Appellate Tribunal may apply to the High Court.

Procedure to lodge a complaint with RERA Chattisgarh

Step 1: Go to the registration of complaints in the RERA Chattisgarh section via the website and select the complaint option before RERA or before the adjudicating authority.

Step 2: The form can be completed online with all the information required to be included in the grievance column and also required specification of whether the project is registered at RERA Chattisgarh or not.

Step 3: Complainant details, address, and contact details are mandatory fields that need to be completed correctly.

Step 4: Fill in the respondent's details, address, and other details of the complaint stating the assistance required by RERA there.

Step 5: After submitting the supporting documents, the person must make an online payment or bank account of Rs. 1000 / - and then announce and confirm the approval by clicking on the submit button.

Step 6: Save the reference number for use in the future.
